Couch to the Summit Performance Coaching offers full 6 and 12 month VK training plans to help turn you into an uphill beast!

Couch to the Summit Performance Coaching offers customised 6 or 12-month training plans specifically tailored to improving your VK performance.

As an experienced performance coach, James acutely understands the drawbacks of "cookie-cutter" one-size-fits-all training plans. Each person has different and varying training histories, scheduling commitments/complications, and levels of fitness. It's also hard for inexperienced athletes to understand their limitations and also to determine whether a fixed training plan would be suitable at all for them.

To make a training plan more suitable for individual circumstances, upon purchase of the training plan, James will first send you a detailed 46 question questionnaire to fill in, and then after several days of processing your answers, he will send you back the customised training plan, completely tailored for your current athletic ability, circumstances (such as hours available to train each week and weekly schedule), and also setup to meet any other races/goals you have for the summer.

The VK training plan comes with a detailed 70-page training manual helping to educate you on the training process, so you completely understand the training ahead of you. The manual also helps you to know when to adjust your training volumes on the fly and how to manage your training intensities as your fitness evolves.

The training plan is also setup with formulas to allow you to alter the difficulty of the plan (adjusting elevation gain / duration) through two variables. This allows you to potential run through the training plan one year and then use the same plan again in future years with an increased difficulty applied to it.
